If you’re planning to use your Slate Digital plugins on an offline system, this guide will walk you through everything you need to authorize and install your All Access Pass (or Complete Access Bundle) using either Machine-ID or iLok Dongle activation.
💡 Quick Note on Offline Use:
While it’s possible to use your plugins offline, your license must connect to the internet periodically to stay active.
-
Monthly subscriptions: Must connect once per pay period (e.g. if you pay on the 15th, connect by the 14th).
-
Annual subscriptions: Require fewer check-ins but still need occasional license validations (e.g. plugin collection updates or billing issues).
🔑 Step 1: Activate Your License
On a computer with internet access:
-
Sign in to your iLok License Manager using the iLok ID associated with your Slate Digital account.
-
Locate your All Access Pass or Complete Access Bundle license under the “Available” tab.
-
Drag the license to your preferred location:
-
iLok Dongle (for physical portability)
-
This Machine (for Machine-ID activation)
-
📝 You can use either method for offline use, but both still require periodic internet access for license refreshes as mentioned above.
💾 Step 2: Download Plugin Installers
-
Go to the Slate Digital Installers Page and download the plugins individually from the "Offline Installation" section.
-
If you’re preparing another offline system, move the downloaded .zip files to an external drive (USB stick, external SSD, etc.).
🖥 Step 3: Set Up the Offline System
On your offline computer:
-
Install the iLok License Manager (download here).
-
Plug in:
-
Your iLok dongle (if using)
-
Or, just use the Machine-ID activation
- Note: Internet is required during Machine-ID license activation
-
-
Copy the plugin installer .zip files to your desktop.
-
Extract the zip files and run each installer to install your plugins.
-
Launch your DAW – your plugins are now ready to use!
