📂 Default Installation Paths

By default, the Impulse Responses library is installed in the following directories:

  • Mac:

    /Library/Audio/Impulse Responses/Slate Digital/VerbSuite Classics

  • Windows:
    C:\ProgramData\SlateDigital\VerbSuite Classics\Impulse Responses\Slate Digital\VerbSuite Classics

📝 Note: On Windows, the ProgramData folder is hidden by default.

🛠️ Customize IR Folder on Windows

On Windows, you can customize the Impulse Responses library folder during the VerbSuite Classics installation:

🔧 Relocating the Impulse Responses Folder

If you move the Impulse Responses library after plugin installation (Mac or Windows), you can manually add the new directory via the Configuration Menu:

IR Folder Configuration Menu

In this menu, you can:
• View the default directory path
• Add a new Impulse Responses folder
• Remove all user-added IR folders

➕ Add Impulse Responses Folder

The Add impulse responses folder option allows you to link VerbSuite Classics with the folder containing your IRs.
Clicking this opens a file navigation window, allowing you to select the folder you'd like to use.

⚠️ Important: Be sure to choose the IRs parent folder — typically something like Factory or Example Expansion Pack.

Correct IR folder selection

If you select a higher-level folder (e.g., VerbSuite Classics), the plugin won’t detect the IR libraries, as it doesn’t search through subfolders.

Incorrect IR folder selection

If this happens, a “Missing Impulse Response” pop-up will appear, allowing you to locate the missing files and reset the IRs folder path.

🧹 Clean Impulse Responses Folders

The Clean impulse responses folders option removes all user-added IR libraries — except the default — from the VerbSuite Classics plugin.

📝 Note: This will not delete the files from your hard drive — it only removes their association within the plugin.
