Preset directory issues on MacOS

๐ŸŽ›๏ธ Fixing Infinity EQ Preset Errors

If you're running into error messages after loading a plugin, or issues creating, deleting, or renaming presets, this guide should help you fix it.

Why does this happen?
macOS can sometimes modify folder permissions โ€” especially after an OS update or using Time Machine. In earlier versions of Infinity EQ, this could lead to instabilities and preset browser problems.

For now, fixing this requires a quick manual permissions change. Here's how:

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Set Permissions to "Read and Write"

Make sure the following folder has "Read and Write" permissions for your user:

/Library/Application Support/Slate Digital

  1. Open Finder and go to Macintosh HD โ–ธ Library โ–ธ Application Support.
  2. Right-click (or Control + Click) the Slate Digital folder and select Get Info (or press Command + I).
  3. Under Sharing & Permissions, set your user to Read & Write.
  4. Click the gear icon โš™๏ธ and choose Apply to enclosed items... to apply the permissions to all files inside.
