In MetaTune, Key/Scale changes are recorded on the individual note automation lanes. This allows for custom scale automation throughout your track.
To automate the Key/Scale in MetaTune:
You'll need to change the track's automation mode to Write and select the desired Key/Scale during playback. When this happens, the automation lanes for each individual note will automatically change to On and Off as needed.
Changing the automation mode is a little different in each DAW.
