The Slate Digital VRS8 Thunderbolt Audio Interface has been discontinued and is no longer available for purchase. Production officially ended in June 2021 due to several factors:
- Semi-conductor shortages
- AKM chip factory fires
- The impact of COVID-19 on global supply chains
- Incompatibility with Apple Silicon (ARM) architecture
While the VRS8 is no longer being manufactured, we remain committed to supporting existing units to the best of our ability.
