Plugins are installed, but aren't found in the Logic Pro Plugin Manager

🔧 On Logic Pro 10.6.3 (or later)

  • Open Logic Pro → Plugin Manager and click Full Audio Unit Reset

Plugin Manager - Full AU Reset
  • After clicking Full Audio Unit Reset, close Logic Pro and restart your Mac 🔄

🎯 Using Logic Pro 10.6.2 or earlier?

If Logic is hanging during the plugin scan and you can't access the Plugin Manager, you'll need to manually delete the following files:

🗂️ Delete the AU Cache Folder

  • Navigate to:

    ~/Library/Caches/AudioUnitCache

    AU_Cache_location

🔄 All of your AU plugins will be rescanned when Logic reopens.

🗂️ Delete the InfoHelper plist file

  • Navigate to:

    ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.audio.InfoHelper.plist

    InfoHelper_plist
  • After deleting both the AU Cache and Info Helper files, restart your Mac 🔄

⚠️ Important Reminder:

These folders are hidden by default. To access the User Library in Finder, hold down the Option key while opening the Go menu.
