If ANA 2 is behaving incorrectly or refusing to load properly, it could be due to a corrupt or missing "settings" file. 🛠️
Follow the steps below to reset ANA 2's settings. Please ensure your DAW is completely closed before continuing!
Step 1: Delete ANA 2 Settings Files
Important: Deleting these files will not remove your presets or user content. It will only reset ANA 2's global settings.
macOS
Navigate to the following location:
~/Library/Application Support/Sonic Academy/Sonic Academy/ANA 2
Note: The ~/Library folder is hidden by default. To access it:
- Open Finder
- Click "Go" in the top menu bar
- Hold down the Option key to reveal "Library"
- Navigate to the path above
Windows
Delete the following:

The entire "Settings" folder located at:
C:\ProgramData\Sonic Academy\ANA 2\Settings -
The entire "ANA 2" folder located at:
C:\Users\your_username_here\AppData\Roaming\Sonic Academy\ANA 2

To show ProgramData:
Open File Explorer > View > Options > Folder Options > View tab > Enable "Show hidden files, folders, and drives". -
To access AppData:
Open File Explorer, type %AppData% into the address bar, and hit Enter. You will be taken directly to the Roaming folder.

Step 2: Relaunch ANA 2
Once the settings have been cleared:
- Reopen your DAW
- Insert ANA 2 on a new software instrument track
- ANA 2 will automatically rebuild fresh settings files
