How to uninstall and reinstall ANA 2 on macOS

Follow the steps below to completely uninstall ANA 2 Ultra from your Mac:


Step 1: Delete Plugin Files

Open Finder and navigate to each of the following locations to manually delete the ANA 2 plugin files:

  • /Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins/ (AAX)
  • /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/ (AU)
  • /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/ (VST)
  • /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/ (VST3)

Locate and delete the ANA 2 files from each relevant plugin folder.


Step 2: Delete Preset and Support Files

Remove Sonic Academy Support Files

Navigate to:

/Library/Application Support/Sonic Academy/ANA 2

Delete the ANA 2 folder to remove associated presets and support files.

⚠️ Important: If you have created custom user presets, make a backup of the Presets folder before deleting ANA 2.


Optional: Delete Settings File

To fully reset ANA 2 settings, you can also delete the settings file found here:

~/Library/Application Support/Sonic Academy/ANA 2

Note: The ~/Library directory is hidden by default. To access it, open Finder, click the "Go" menu, then hold down the Option key.
