How to Uninstall Virtual Microphone System on macOS

Follow the steps below to completely uninstall Virtual Microphone System from your Mac:

Step 1: Run the Uninstaller

Open Finder and navigate to:

Macintosh HD/Applications/Slate Digital/Virtual Microphone System

Double-click the Uninstall.command file. This will open a Terminal window.

You will be prompted to enter your computer password. Note: No characters will appear while typing in Terminal — this is normal. After typing your password, press Enter or Return to continue.

Step 2: Delete Remaining Files

Remove Preset and Support Files

Navigate to:

/Library/Application Support/Slate Digital/Virtual Microphone System

Delete the Virtual Microphone System folder to remove any leftover presets or support files.

⚠️ Important: If you have created custom user presets, make a backup of the Presets folder before deleting Virtual Microphone System.

Optional: Delete Settings File

To fully reset Virtual Microphone System settings, you can also delete the settings file found here:

~/Library/Application Support/Slate Digital/Virtual Microphone System

Note: The ~/Library directory is hidden by default. To access it, open Finder, click the "Go" menu, then hold down the Option key.
