Air and Earth bring two of the easiest-to-use and best-sounding features from Eiosis AirEQ into Virtual Mix Rack.
-
Air is a silky high-frequency boost designed to add life and breath to any sound source—without sounding harsh or unnatural.
- You can combine Air with the HiCut filter to maintain clarity while taming excessive brightness. Boost the Air for brilliance, then dial in HiCut if the result is too crisp.
- Unlike typical shelving filters, Air offers a smooth, predictable frequency curve that behaves consistently across all types of audio material.
-
Earth acts like an adjustable transformer to deliver tight, punchy low-end. It boosts sub-lows without adding muddiness or excessive resonance.
- Pair Earth with the LoCut filter for a "Pultec-style" effect: turn Earth up for added depth, then trim lows using LoCut to sculpt the final tone.
- Earth is audible even on headphones and low-end-challenged systems—perfect for adding weight to bass, kick drums, or even sound design elements.
- Use negative values of Earth to retain bass punch while removing excessive sub-lows that might muddy the mix.
AirEQ Air

- Air: Adds smooth, natural brightness and presence. Great for vocals, acoustic instruments, or anything that needs subtle brilliance.
- HiCut: Attenuates high frequencies above the selected cutoff using a natural, analog-style rolloff.
- Freq: Sets the cutoff frequency for the HiCut filter.
- Q: Adjusts resonance at the cutoff point.
- Slope: Select from 6dB to 36dB per octave for tailoring the steepness of the HiCut filter.
AirEQ Earth

- Earth: A deep and tight low-end enhancer modeled after transformer behavior. Adjust with one knob for consistent sub-lows with zero distortion.
- LowCut: Attenuates sub frequencies below the cutoff point.
- Freq: Sets the cutoff frequency for the LowCut filter.
- Q: Controls the resonance at the cutoff frequency.
- Slope: Choose a slope from 6dB to 36dB per octave for fine-tuning how aggressively sub-lows are reduced.
