Virtual Preamp Collection

The Virtual Preamp Collection brings the authentic tone of two of the audio industry’s most iconic microphone preamplifiers into your DAW. Using state-of-the-art analog modeling, each module recreates everything from gentle coloration to full-on saturation and distortion.

  • The VPC (Virtual Preamp Collection) was originally designed for the VMS-1 hardware preamp, but works beautifully with any clean preamp.
  • Add real analog vibe to any track or mix.
  • Capable of subtle warmth, heavy saturation, or rich distortion effects.

FG-73

FG-73

The FG-73 is modeled after a legendary British discrete solid-state preamp used on countless classic records. It’s bold, present, and warm — ideal on individual tracks or entire mixes.

FG-76

FG-76

The FG-76 is based on a vintage tube preamp, delivering thick, rich tone that adds color and life to any source. Its bottom-end saturation is especially great for bass guitars and kick drums.

Bulb

  • The Bulb visually indicates the saturation amount. It begins glowing with subtle saturation and gets brighter as you push the input or Virtual Drive.

Virtual Drive

  • Virtual Drive simulates turning up the input gain while automatically compensating with output trim. Left side = subtle color. Right side = full-on saturation or distortion.

Trim & Phase Reverse

  • The Trim knob sets the output gain of the preamp.
  • Phase Reverse flips the signal polarity (mono or stereo) right after the input stage — classic and handy.
