The video above walks through rescanning FG-X 2 (along with Fresh Air) in Logic Pro.
If FG-X 2 fails validation in Logic Pro, open the Plug-in Manager from the Settings menu (called Preferences in older versions of Logic Pro). Then, select Slate Digital in the Manufacturers section.
๐ Next, select FG-X 2 in the plugin list (if other plugins also failed validation, hold the Command key (โ) and click each one to select them together). Once selected, click Reset & Rescan Selection and wait for the validation process to complete. This could take several minutes.
ย After validation completes, open FG-X 2 on a track to verify that it is working properly on your system.
๐ ๏ธ Additional Troubleshooting

- Try "synchronizing" your iLok dongle: right-click the iLok icon on the left side of the manager and select Synchronize.
- Note: You must be signed into the manager to perform this action.
After synchronizing, try rescanning FG-X 2 in Logic Pro again.
Please make sure Logic Pro is closed. Then:
- Open the iLok License Manager and ensure it is up-to-date.
- Click the Computer icon in the left column.
- Right-click your FG-X 2 license and choose Deactivate.
After deactivation, drag the license from the Available tab onto the Computer icon to reactivate it.
Once completed, reopen Logic Pro and rescan FG-X 2 in the Plug-in Manager again.
/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/ folder. If it's installed there, click Full Audio Unit Reset at the bottom of the Plug-in Manager. This resets and rescans all of your Audio Unit plugins the next time Logic Pro launches, so it may take some time to complete.Still have questions?
