"...can't be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software"

⚡ This error or warning occurs when an installer has not been digitally signed for your version of macOS by Apple. If you've downloaded the installer from Slate Digital or Solid State Logic, you can rest assured that the software is safe to install, regardless of the warning.

Starting with macOS Ventura, Apple redesigned the System Settings app, and the location of "Open Anyway" has changed.

👉 To proceed, right-click the installer and select "Open". The same warning will appear, but you'll now see an option to open it anyway.

👉 If needed, navigate to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Security Section → Open Anyway under the "Security" heading.

Additional Troubleshooting

🛡️ If you still can't open the installer, firewall or antivirus software might be blocking it. Please temporarily disable these applications and try again.

⚠️ Note: This process works for any installer or app that's being blocked by macOS with a similar error message.
✅ Important: Always proceed at your own risk and make sure you trust the developer of the software you are installing.
