M4 Compatibility for Slate Digital Plugins – Updates Now Available

Overview

We are happy to announce that updates addressing the M4 compatibility issue with Slate Digital plugins are now publicly available. These updates resolve the previous licensing system conflict that affected some plugin formats and DAWs on Apple’s latest M4 processors. Earlier generations of Apple Silicon were unaffected.

You can now download the updated plugins through Slate Digital Connect or from our Installers page.

What Was the Issue?

The issue stemmed from a CPU timing conflict within iLok’s licensing system on M4 processors, which could cause license validation errors or unexpected plugin behavior. Common errors included:

  • “Internal Conductor Error 1”
  • “Internal Conductor Error 101”
  • “iLok Server Error: Object Not Found”

PACE (iLok) identified the root cause and released a fix in their updated SDK. Our team then integrated this fix into all the affected Slate Digital plugins.

Do I Need to Update My iLok License Manager?

No, updating the iLok License Manager is not required to resolve this issue. However, keeping it up to date is recommended.
