The ESR Error occurs when two or more VMR versions are installed to multiple locations. When the DAW picks up on both locations, the ESR Error occurs.
This issue can be fixed by deleting the older VMR version from your plugin paths. We recommend to first uninstall the plugin experiencing the error with "Programs and Features"
Once the plugin has been uninstalled, please check the following plugin paths and delete any instance of the plugin that remains:
VST (32 Bit): \Program Files (x86)\VstPlugins
VST (64 Bit): \Program Files\VstPlugins
VST 3 (32 Bit): \Program Files (x86)\Common Files\VST3
VST 3 (64 Bit): \Program Files\Common Files\VST3
AAX (64 Bit): \Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins
AAX (32 Bit): \Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins
After the plugin has been removed, install the latest version and re-launch your DAW. The latest plugin versions can be found here.
