Force Reason Plugin Rescan

If you're having trouble getting your plugins to load in Reason, you may need to delete your Reason plugin database files.


🧹 Clear Plugin Database Files

Try closing Reason completely and deleting the following files:

  • __PluginDatabase_v3-arm64.dat (Apple Silicon only)
  • __PluginDatabase_v3.dat

📍 File Locations

macOS:

/Users/<Your_Name>/Library/Application Support/Propellerhead Software/Reason/Caches
Note: This location is hidden by default. To access it:
  • Open Finder
  • Click on the Go menu
  • Hold down the Option key to reveal the Library folder

Windows:

C:/Users/<Your_Name>/AppData/Local/Propellerhead Software/Reason
Note: This folder is hidden by default. Learn how to show hidden folders.
