🔌 How to Activate Your Slate Digital Plugins to an iLok Dongle

Slate Digital plugins can be activated to a 2nd generation (iLok 2) or 3rd generation (iLok 3) USB dongle for easy portability across devices.

💡 Note: Activation to iLok Cloud & Machine-ID is also available, but this guide focuses on activating to a physical iLok dongle.

1. Download and Install Your Plugins

Start by downloading and installing your plugins using Slate Digital Connect, or download them individually:

⚠️ Make sure your DAW is closed during installation, as it will need to rescan plugins afterward.

Once downloaded, unzip the installer (if needed) and run it to install your plugins.

2. Open and Sign In to iLok License Manager

If you installed using Slate Digital Connect, the iLok License Manager is already installed. If not, download the latest version here:

Open the app and sign in with your iLok user ID and password.

3. Plug in Your iLok Dongle

4. Activate Your Licenses

In iLok License Manager:

1. Go to the Available tab.
2. Find your Slate Digital license(s).
3. Drag and drop the license(s) onto your connected iLok dongle.
4. Click "OK" to confirm activation.

5. Enjoy!

🛠️ Troubleshooting

Don't see your licenses in iLok License Manager?
This is often caused by an incorrect iLok ID being linked to your Slate Digital account.

✅ How to Check Which iLok ID Is Linked:

1. Log in at: Complete Access Dashboard
2. Click "Profile" in the top-right corner.
3. Select "iLok Account" to view your linked iLok ID.

If the ID is incorrect, click the blue "Change" button to update it.
