If you're experiencing issues with the iLok License Manager or need to perform a clean reinstall, follow these steps to fully uninstall and reinstall the latest version on macOS.
Step 1: Download the Latest Version
Download the most recent version of the iLok License Manager directly using this link:

Step 2: Open the Installer
Once the ZIP file has downloaded, open it and then double-click the DMG file to mount the installer volume. You’ll see three items inside:
License Support.pkg
Uninstall License Support
ReadMe.rtf
Step 3: Uninstall Previous Version
Double-click Uninstall License Support to completely remove any existing versions of the iLok License Manager from your system.
Note: You'll need to enter your macOS User Account Password when prompted
Step 4: Install the Latest Version
Next, run the License Support.pkg file to install the latest version of the iLok License Manager.
Final Steps: Reactivate or Sync Your Licenses
Depending on how your licenses are activated, follow the appropriate steps below to ensure everything is working properly:
✅ If you're using iLok Cloud:

Open the iLok License Manager.

Go to File > Close All Cloud Sessions.

Once the session is closed, reopen it from the same menu.
✅ If you're using an iLok USB Dongle:

Locate your iLok dongle in the left sidebar.

Right-click on the dongle and choose Synchronize.

This will perform a sync/repair and fix any registry-related issues.

✅ If you're using Machine-Based Activation:

Find your machine (usually named after your Mac) in the left sidebar.

Right-click on any problematic license and select Deactivate.

Go to View > Available Licenses.

Right-click the license you want to use and choose Activate.

Select your machine or other available location as the activation destination.
