Moving your licenses from your computer (Machine ID) to an iLok Cloud session can be done using the iLok License Manager.
This process depends on whether your iLok Cloud session is in Automatic or Managed Mode. By default, sessions are set to Automatic Mode. If you're unsure which you're using, please see this article.
Make sure your iLok License Manager is up to date: https://ilok.com/#!license-manager
✅ Automatic Mode
- Sign in to the iLok License Manager with your iLok ID (if you haven’t already).
- Deactivate the license from your computer (Machine ID).
- Open your iLok Cloud session by going to File > Open Your Cloud Session.
🔧 Managed Mode
- Sign in to the iLok License Manager with your iLok ID (if you haven’t already).
- Deactivate the license from your computer (Machine ID).
- Open your iLok Cloud session.
- Activate the license from the Available tab by right-clicking or dragging it into the Cloud session.
🔑 Important:
Only the All Access Pass, microphone emulations, Fresh Air, and Heatwave licenses support iLok Cloud activation.
All perpetual licenses must be activated to a physical iLok 2 or 3 USB dongle or directly to your computer (Machine ID).
