How to resolve the "PACE License Services not running" error in iLok License Manager

If you encounter the following error message when launching iLok License Manager:

Follow these steps to ensure the PACE License Services are running correctly on your Windows 11 system:

  1. Open the Services application:
    • Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog.
    • Type services.msc and press Enter.
  2. In the Services window, locate PACE License Services in the list.
  3. Right-click on PACE License Services and select Properties.
  4. In the General tab:
    • Ensure the Startup type is set to Automatic (Delayed Start). If not, select it from the dropdown menu.
    • Check the Service status. If it shows Stopped, click on the Start button to initiate the service.
  5. Click OK to apply the changes and close the Properties window.
  6. Restart your computer to ensure the changes take effect.
  7. After rebooting, launch the iLok License Manager to verify that the error no longer appears.

If the issue persists after following these steps, consider reinstalling the iLok License Manager:

  1. Uninstall the current version of iLok License Manager from your system.
  2. Download the latest version from the official iLok website: https://www.ilok.com/#!license-manager
  3. Install the downloaded version and restart your computer.
  4. Launch the iLok License Manager to check if the issue has been resolved.
